How much does it cost to join? +

Nothing. OMG Music is completely free for musicians, fans, and nonprofits. There are no upfront fees, no hidden costs, and no contracts. You only pay $1 when you purchase a song.

How are nonprofits verified? +

Every nonprofit must submit valid IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status documentation. Our admin team manually reviews every application. Only verified nonprofits can be cause partners on songs.

Can listeners get tax deductions? +

Yes. The 40% portion of every song purchase that goes to a verified nonprofit is tax-deductible. Listeners receive an automated IRS-compliant receipt via email after each purchase.

How do payouts work? +

All payouts happen monthly via Stripe direct deposit. Musicians receive 50%, nonprofits get 40%, fan affiliates get 10%. There's no minimum threshold — you get paid whatever you've earned.

How is this different from Spotify or Bandcamp? +

Spotify pays $0.003/play. Bandcamp pays 85% to artists but funds nothing else. OMG Music pays 50% to musicians, 40% to verified nonprofits, and 10% to fan affiliates. Plus we have a $100K grant pool.
